Human Resource Manager

The Role Due to growth there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our clients HQ in Hawthorn, Victoria. The company specializes in Ethanol manufacturing, wholesale and retail fuel markets. They are a large, established and one of the fastest growing independent companies in Australia. 

Your responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to:

      • A comprehensive review of the People & Culture Guidelines and the formation of a progressive and fit for company best practice Human Resources infrastructure;
      • Update and develop Human Resources relevant policies;
      • Ensure policies and practices are executed correctly;
      • The delivery of advice, support and consultation to the Senior Group Executives and management;
      • Support line managers in their Recruitment Process;
      • Ensure Recruitment is on track and executed in a timely;
      • Partner with managers and employees to resolve issues and concerns;
      • Oversee payroll department in conjunction with CFO;
      • Prepare together with Payroll Manager exception reports and ensure payroll is correct before final approval from CFO;
      • First point of contact in work cover matters;
      • Oversee Travel Department, Reception and Office Management;
      • Empowering the senior executives to foster an organisational culture of performance that is congruent to company’s values;
      • Leadership and management of a highly functional human resources team.

About you

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
    • Experience in building, leading and developing a team of HR professionals in a similar scale and complexity of business;
    • Tertiary qualifications in an HR discipline and / OR MBA qualifications with the ability to drive progressive and fit for purpose HR Thought Leadership;
    • Proven track record of success in Human Resources and Organisation Development at a senior level ideally reporting to a CEO;
    • Able to manage conflict and conflicting agendas;
    • Credible, professional and resilient character with sound interpersonal style and positive attitude;
    • Able to maintain the integrity of all HR, business and sensitive data.
